When the .NET universal domain name extension was initially introduced in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Because of the fact that there were no special stipulations about the usage of the top-level domain extension, though, .NET domains were bought and used for various purposes and by scores of people. This extension represents an ideal alternative to dot COM, particularly if the necessary domain with the latter TLD is not available for registration.

Obtaining a .NET domain with our company is as easy as ABC and takes only a couple of minutes, since we work with an ICANN-accredited registrar. You can register such a domain for a time interval between one and ten years, or, if you already possess a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it after the transfer process is finished. Transfers are possible for all domains, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are not locked and that you have an EPP transfer authorization code – security measures introduced by the Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily correct the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you don’t want this info to be public at all, you can get a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to view your actual contact information.

The .NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision whether you want to focus on a particular country or zone using a domain name in the native language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
