A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few functions, but it’s amazingly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button for the particular email address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be set up with a couple of clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain name hosted here. To activate the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox, you will have to click on the logo with the same name, which will be next to each mailbox. Disabling this option can be done in the very same way and will not require more than one click either. If a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a particular domain name, you will receive a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never edit or deactivate any feature automatically.
