Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
We offer three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our virtual private servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs available and we offer all 3 instead of only one since we realize that you may want to install some software with specific requirements for the Operating System it shall run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there're different software packages you could install on the web hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine exactly what hosting Control Panel can be installed on the VPS in case you would like to use one and that is why we offer multiple Control Panels too. Should you decide that you need some other OS, our tech support team can quickly wipe the current one and install the one that you want. In addition, we offer an optional service to keep the OS on your VPS updated weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're freely available so they won't increase the price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are extremely stable and secure. Each of them is supported by a huge community of developers, so you will be able to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you could install on your server in case the app that you want to use has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what internet hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and since we would like to provide you with as much versatility as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a given OS, we will change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you need another one. We will also keep the OS updated on a weekly basis as a part of the optional Managed Services upgrade.
